Ron Sargent, the Housing Authority Officer, is responsible for performing background checks on applicants for public housing, investigations and patrol services of the housing areas, and initiating crime-prevention and security programs.   Since the establishment of the unit, there has been a significant decrease in crime within public housing, and the residents now have a cleaner and safer neighborhood in which to live.
