The departmental chaplains serve as a liaison with religious organizations in the community and are ready to assist officers with death notifications, suicide scenes, and catastrophes.  The chaplains also provides visitation for sick or injured employees.
 
The Chaplain Unit maintains a high spiritual and moral standing and responds to situations whenever a need is indicated.  The unit provides a service to both the citizens of the community as well as the employees of the department.
