Frank Warren Donaldson was mayor of Morristown 1919-1920. He was born near Russellville on May 19, 1878, the son of Joseph Eckel and Mary Donaldson. He married Nita Rice (April 4, 1882 / July 17, 1974), and they had one daughter, Virginia, who married Clyde C. Harmon, and was living in Greensboro, N.C. in 1974.
Donaldson was associated in Donaldson and Holtzinger Packing Company as well as Donaldson and Holtzinger Grain, Feed and Produce Dealers. He was Vice-President of the Augsberg Drawing Book Company, and at one time was director of the City National Bank. He also served on the city council.
Donaldson was very active in the local Republican Party and was a supporter of Herbert Hoover. After Hoover's election to the Presidency, Donaldson was appointed Internal Revenue Collector for Tennessee. He suffered a stroke while at Nashville, and died on June 3, 1931 at Vanderbilt Hospital. His home was on West 2nd North Street. He was a Presbyterian. His body was laid to rest at Jarnigan Cemetery.
