This site is dedicated to helping those of you whose ancestry can be traced through Morristown, Tennessee.

Morristown, Tennessee circa early 1970's

Morristown was named after the Morris Family. Here is a memorial to the Drury Morris family which is in Jarnigan Cemetery in Morristown.

I've made indexes to the 1876, 1877 and 1878 Morristown Gazette Newspaper. Also I have written two books, Morristown in 1880, and In Old Morristown. I don't have any copies to sell, but you might find them in the archive room at the court house.
